Starring in films like World War Z, Inglourious Basterds and the Oceans trilogy over the last two decades, Pitt has found even greater stardom with dozens of awards including six Oscar nominations and his first win for 12 Years a Slave in 2014. Amid his incredible success in front of the camera, he’s also proven his talents as a producer after launching his own company, Plan B Entertainment, which is known for films like Troy, Moneyball, 12 Years a Slave and The Big Short.
Beyond the silver screen, the Oklahoma native is also known as one of the best-looking men in the world after media outlets like People and Empire magazines named him “Sexiest Man Alive” on more than one occasion. Of course, the fact that he’s had gorgeous actresses like Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie on his arm certainly hasn’t hurt. But, with recent news of his impending divorce from Jolie, the media hasn’t been as friendly to Pitt as many argue that the 52-year-old has turned to plastic surgery to preserve his devilishly handsome good looks.
In early 2016, Pitt walked the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards looking as dashing as ever and without any signs of aging that left the media, fashion critics and his most loyal fans praising him as a “distinguished” Hollywood veteran. However, a closer glance showed that Pitt’s faced appeared to be entirely smooth with glossy skin and what looked like a new and improved jawline. Then again, the world had long grown accustomed to seeing Pitt with facial hair for quite some time.
With social media erupting over Pitt’s seemingly youthful look, many argued that he was the living embodiment of his character from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. One fan even remarked, “I’m just confused at what kind of spell was put on Brad Pitt that keeps him looking young forever.” So, what kind of wizardry, spells and magic potion is the Mr. & Mrs. Smith star using after raising six children and balancing a hectic film schedule that takes him around the world for months at a time? Don’t expect to hear an answer—or a confession—from Pitt anytime soon.
Amid rumors of a possible facelift before the Golden Globes, holistic plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn weighed in on Pitt’s appearance saying, “[He] appears to have had a filler injected into his frown line and I suspect a touch of Botox around his eyes” in addition to a series of chemical peels. Pitt, of course, denied any rumors of ever going under the knife leaving fans and the entire realm of plastic surgeons determined to uncover his secret. In fact, some fans and experts have been so determined that they’ve done more work than a CSI unit to uncover a few scars that might suggest plastic surgery.
Instead of coming forward and admitting that he has or hasn’t had a few nips and tucks, Pitt attributes his ability to defy aging by living a healthy lifestyle marked by regular exercise, natural skin care treatments and a balanced, vitamin-rich diet. A source close to Pitt even said the actor gushes about his lifestyle by telling everyone about his new “anti-aging plan” to hire experts to keep his health in check. If that’s all it takes, then there’s no doubt that Pitt has found the best-kept secret to looking young.
With others close to the actor admitting that Pitt was disappointed in how he looked in The Big Short in 2015 and decided to improve his appearance with plastic surgery, there’s no shortage of opinions on the 52-year-old’s appearance. “He looks a little too young now, but he’s probably thrilled,” one source said. Regardless of whether he’s gone under the knife to rekindle his youth and sex appeal, there’s no question that Pitt is still in high demand in Hollywood. To prove it, not even his impending divorce marking the end of Brangelina can slow the A-lister down as he has several movies in the works including the highly anticipated Allied and War Machine.
