Grande keeps her skincare routine simple and swears by Dr. Lancer’s products. “He’s a dermatologist in Los Angeles and his products are really, really great,” she says. “They make your skin so soft and so clean, and I use it every morning and every night. I try not to fall asleep with my makeup on ever, but I fail all the time, I think everybody does.”
Some of her favorite products from Dr. Lancer’s line include The Method Nourish Moisturizer ($125), The Method Cleanser ($55), the Contour Firming Concentrate ($185), the Caviar Lime Acid Peel ($90), the Eye Contour Lifting Cream ($95), and the Sheer Fluid Sun Shield SPF 30 ($55). Apart from Dr. Lancer’s products, she also loves Josie Maran’s 100% Argan Oil ($48) and good old-fashioned coconut oil, both of which add moisture to her daily skincare routine. In fact, the 24-year-old calls herself “a Half-Glamazon, Half-Granola Chick,” because she loves coconut oil on everything from her hair to her face and body! “I know it’s hard because we get tired, but scrubbing your face, washing your face and then moisturizing is so important,” she says about keeping her skin hydrated and healthy. “A lot of people think that putting a drying solution on your spots will dry it up but actually oil breaks down oil—so putting on a good lotion and just sticking to your routine is the only thing you can do.”

While Grande admits that she doesn’t spend a lot of time thinking or experimenting with different products, she does have a few favorites and that starts with her foundation. Typically blending a few different products to create the right shade for her complexion, Grande uses some of MAC’s most popular brushes—the 132 Foundation Brush ($35), the 135 Large Flat Powder Brush ($42), and the 140 Full Fan Brush ($42)—to apply her foundation. Depending on the event whether she’s shooting a music video, walking the red carpet, or going out with friends, Grande starts with Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer ($16) before applying L’Oreal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation ($12). She highlights and removes blemishes with the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer ($24) and the MAC Paint in Bamboom ($40) before setting her look with the Laura Mercier Loose Brightening Powder ($28).
For contour and color, Grande uses Bobbi Brown’s Bronzing Powder ($42) and Bobbi Brown Finishing Powder ($57). She brushes the apples of her cheeks with the Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick ($48) using the MAC 129 Powder Blush Brush ($35).

She typically blends several different eyeshadows for inspiration with many of her favorite hues coming from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Palette ($49). She also likes Make Up For Ever shadows in Amber Metallic ($21), Crystalline Grey Beige Diamond ($21), and Pink Ivory ($21) as well as the NARS Single Eyeshadow in Fez ($25) and the MAC Electric Cool Eyeshadow in Super Watt ($22). Other favorites include Sephora’s Colorful Eyeshadow in Cookie Crunch ($12) and Hollywood’s Calling ($12).

She uses the Mac 209 Eyeliner Brush ($20) to create a smoky eye after applying the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyeliner Pencil ($20). Her must-have products for every occasion are false lashes, which she trims and adheres to her lash line using dark adhesive. “I love lashes,” she says. “I feel like I could be completely naked but have lashes, and I’d be fine.” She blends her natural and fake lashes together with a few coats of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($23).

Grande credits her mother for inspiring her look as a beauty icon. “My mom always does a cat eye, too—a thick black line on top,” she says. “I remember being like, ‘I wanna look like a mix of my mom and Scary Spice.’ I remember saying those words when I was a little girl—that was the goal, when I was, like, 4…. My mom really is fly. She’s the baddest. My whole life, she’s always worn custom-made, black, tailored outfits. Black only—I’ve never seen her wear another color. And she adds a pop of color on her lip.”
Taking inspiration from her mother and developing her own sense of style, Grande’s look inspires her millions of fans as the 24-year-old artist tells her most loyal listeners, “Be yourself and don’t listen to any trends.” After all, marching to the beat of her own drum is exactly why so many people adore the one and only, Ariana Grande!
